- The one enduring memory I have from the T20 world cup is Misbah-ul-Haq's classical leg glance for four off a middle stump delivery from Brett Lee. It was a thing of quiet beauty that stood out among all the razzmatazz, like a serving of curd rice does in a five-star buffet.


- The way I look at it, Al Gore is not all that different from the man who allegedly defeated him in the 2000 election. I believe that quackery and fear mongering are never justified, regardless of how noble one's cause is.


- I don't like the 'Aussies suck' chants. We don't have to live up to some ill-defined standard of a gentleman's game, but I don't see why we should indulge in boorish behavior just because we can.

- This is a recycled thought, but 7.30 am traffic jams are an absolute travesty.
